The faculty of Holy Family of Nazareth School is comprised of dedicated, degreed and certified educators who are committed to quality Catholic education. Our staff and program provides a well-rounded, state-of-the-art education rooted in a values-centered environment for families aspiring to offer their children a positive experience in learning.

Principal - Mr. Dennis R. Poyantpoyant portrait

Mr. Dennis R. Poyant holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeastern Massachusetts University and a Masters Degree from Providence College. His entire career has been in Catholic education. A principal since 1975, he was recognized by NCEA in 1992 as one of the top 12 Catholic school principals in the nation. He joined Holy Family of Nazareth School in 2003. As a Catholic educator, Mr. Poyant works hard to make sure that the educational environment is one that not only provides a quality education but also a Catholic foundation that will help to develop young men and women who will be the leaders of our community and Church.

Mrs. Belinda Carmical has been the administrative assistant at Holy Family since 2000. A dedicated worker with a commitment to quality education at Holy Family, Mrs. Carmical works with and for the families of our school. Her oldest daughter graduated from Holy Family and her youngest child is presently a student at HFNS.

Technology/Library - Mr. Dennis Underwoodunderwood portrait

Mr. Dennis Underwood is our Technology Director as well as Librarian. Under his dual role he is responsible for the development and intergration of technology across the curriculum as well as making sure our library is up-to-date and a good resource for our students. Mr. Underwood holds a Bachelor of Science from Amber University and a Masters Degree in Telecommunications Systems Management from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas. His experience includes Director of Instructional and Network Technology at All Saints Catholic School before joining the staff at Holy Family.

Director Early Childhood - Mrs. Bertha Guzman>guzman portrait

Mrs. Bertha Guzman joins our staff this year as Director of our new multi-age program designed for our PreK3, PreK4 and Kindergarten classes. Mrs. Guzman brings years of experience as a teacher, administrator and educational research participant. Her talents and vision are directed at providing the most effective and challenging program to our early childhood students. Mrs. Guzman holds both a Bachelor and Master Degree as well as having completed her doctoral studies minus the discertation in education.

Miss Mary Carter has been a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher since 1977. Miss Carter holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development from Texas Women's University. She has taught at Holy Family of Nazareth School for the past 17 years.

Mrs. Sara Wickham joins our staff as our preK-3 teacher. Mrs. Wickham has over five years experience in Early Childhood and is excited to share her talents with her students. Mrs. Wickham has two of her own children here at HFNS.

Kindergarten - Mrs. Amy Ramosramos portrait

Mrs. Amy Ramos earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Mrs. Ramos has taught at Holy Family for two years. She comes to us with nine years teaching experience in Kansas and Arizona. Committed to Catholic education her children attend Holy Family. she states,"As a parent of children who attend Catholic schools, I believe that it provides a wealth of opportunity to students both educationally and spiritually."

1st Grade - Mrs. Cynthia Kleinklein portrait

Mrs. Cynthia Klein holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters Degree in educational administration from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. Ms. Klein has taught at Holy Family for nineteen years and is also our Assistant Principal. Her dedication to Catholic education is evident in her teaching and administrative duties. She is always seeking ways to improve her teaching style and guide others to excellence.

2nd Grade - Miss Shari Ruizruiz portrait

Miss Shari Ruiz recently graduated from the University of North Texas majoring in Early Childhood Education and acquiring an ESL certification. Since graduation she taught both fourth grade Language Arts as well as Kindergarten in Keller ISD. She then took a break from the States and received her Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certification in London, England and taught English to young adults there. She has been doing the childcare at Holy Family Church for 5 years and attended Holy Family from K-8th grade. She is excited about Pre-k and looks forward to a wonderful year at HFN.

3rd Grade - Mrs. Pia Pulidopulido portrait

Pia Villanueva-Pulido is a published freelance magazine writer, children’s author, novelist, and an elementary school teacher. A graduate of the University of Dallas, Mrs. Pulido currently teaches elementary grade levels at Holy Family of Nazareth. She also specializes in teaching creative writing instruction, language arts and Junior Writers’ Workshops for the intermediate, middle school, and high school preparation levels.

Mrs. Pulido has successfully used her seven stories from the River of Imagination as her "platform for creative thinking" to meet the standards-based curriculum. She believes in encouraging her students to embrace their creative inspiration in the form of reading, writing, music, and drawing. What better way to inspire them than to teach by example!

4th Grade - Mrs. Valerie Reimerreimer portrait

Mrs. Reimer joined the Holy Family of Nazareth School staff in the 2003 - 04 school year. Originally teaching our Kindergarten class, Mrs. Reimer has now taken on the responsibilities of the fourth grade. A graduate of TCU, Mrs. Reimer had taught at Good Shepherd Catholic School for a year before coming to Holy Family. Mrs. Reimer attended Holy Family of Nazareth School as a child and has now returned to share her gifts with our school.

5th Grade - Mrs. Colletta Bluittbluitt portrait

Mrs. Colletta Bluitt came to Holy Family of Nazareth School in August of 2007 from Baltimore, Maryland. She has been teaching and/or coaching for 23 years.

Mrs. Bluitt has taught and coached sports at Athens High School in Athens, Texas, Memorial Hall High School in Houston and St. James and John Catholic Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland.

Colletta received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M, formerly ETSU in 1987. She has continued her graduate studies at the University of Texas at Tyler. She has also received the National Honor Roll for Outstanding American Teachers in Baltimore, MD, in the 2005-2006 school year.

6th Grade - Ms Christal Martinmartin protrait

Ms. Christal Martin is the newest member of the Holy Family of Nazareth School staff. Ms. Martin received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Texas Tech University. She is a product of Catholic Schools and believes in a strong foundation built for students through Catholic School education. In her spare time Ms. Martin enjoys running and teaching an indoor cycling class.

7th Grade - Mrs. Mary Lou Parchmanparchman portrait

Mrs. Parchman joined the staff of Holy Family for the 1992-93 school year and has been teaching science to our middle school students for many years. Mrs. Parchman is also our art teacher for all grade levels and shares her talents with the students in various mediums. A graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington, she continues to grow in her teaching and art.

8th Grade - Mrs. Raquel Morganmorgan portrait

Mrs. Raquel Morgan is our Director of Discipline and Coordinator of our Middle School. Mrs. Morgan began her duties here at Holy Family in the 2007-08 school year. In addition she teaches math to our middle school as well as religion to our eighth grade. A transplant from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Mrs. Morgan brings her expertise to our school. Mrs. Morgan was a vice principal at Resurrection of Our Lord School in New Orleans before the storm and holds a Bachelors Degree from Southern University.

Middle School Social Studies & Language Arts - Mrs. Barbara Ryanryan portrait

Mrs. Ryan has been a part of the Holy Family staff since 2007 and teaches both Religion and Social Studies. Mrs. Ryan also taught at St. Luke's School for 12 years. Mrs. Ryan is the director of our National Junior Honor Society and helps our students in developing leadership and service skills.

Religion & Music - Ms. Elisabeth Grimmgrimm portrait

Miss Elisabeth Grimm joins us as our religion teacher in grades 5 through 8 music teacher and choir director. She brings a love of her faith, music and an enthusiasm that is contagious with the students. Miss Drogin graduated from Thomas Aquinas College with a B.A. in Theology degree.

Spanish - Mrs. Gina Lynnlynn portrait

Mrs. Gina Lynn is proud to teach Spanish for grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Born and educated in Mexico City, she is a Berlitz certified interpreter and translator. She was an official interpreter and translator for the Mexican Olympic Team at the 1980 Moscow Olympics. She greatly enjoys teaching Spanish at Holy Family because she sees her students having fun and learning skills that will be useful for the rest of their lives, providing quality Catholic education for our next generation.

Mr. Michael Duke is a graduate of the University of North Texas and is our Physical Education teacher. In addition to the physical education classes, Mr. Duke serves as our Athletic Director and represents us at the Diocesan Parochial League. Mr. Duke joined us for the 1997-98 school year and has been working to better the physical prowess of all of our students since then.

Mrs. Suzie Hays works with our students as our nurse aide and helps with the office routine, and as a teacher aide when needed. In addition, Mrs Hays continues to help develop our prayer life and mass preparation with the students.

Mrs. Norma McManus joins our staff this year as a teacher aide in the early childhood program. Mrs. McManus comes to us via the Good Shepherd Early Childhood program and brings with her a wealth of experience to share with her students.
